Physical and Chemical Properties
PTMEG has hygroscopic properties dependent on molecular weight, absorbing up to 2% moisture. Solubility decreases with increasing molecular weight.

Product Features
The domestic PTMEG production facility, incorporating advanced technology from Japan's Mitsubishi Corporation, ensures exceptional product performance. The use of zirconia catalysts enhances ring-opening polymerization rates of tetrahydrofuran and reduces by-product formation, leading to higher purity and yield. This innovative process offers excellent thermal and chemical stability, ensuring long operational cycles.

Applications
Over 90% of PTMEG in China is used for spandex production. In developed countries, 40% is utilized in synthetic rubber elastomers. PTMEG reacts with MDI to produce spandex, which has high strength and elasticity close to natural rubber, often referred to as "second skin." Spandex is widely used in elastic garments, medical materials (bandages, artificial skin, surgical sutures), and polyurethane elastomers, with applications across steel, machinery, automotive, construction, and other industries.
